I just watched a brilliant TEDx Talk.
I love a TEDx Talk.
Why?
Because each and every one of them is an exceptional example of public speaking.
If I were to curate a conference filled with amazing presentations of TEDx Talk calibre, I have no doubt every attendee would leave feeling energised, inspired, and enlightened.
Unfortunately, the reality is that many conference session fall short. This is why conferences can acquire a bad rap for being dull events to attend.
Attendees often feel bored, drained, and overwhelmed with information overload.
However, there is, of course, hope!
Phil Waknell’s* magic formula as outlined in this brilliant TEDx Talk has the potential to revolutionise the conference experience.
I urge every conference speaker to apply this formula to enhance the overall quality and effectiveness of their presentation:
So, think about his magic ingredients next time you have a presentation coming up.
You’ll be amazed at how much more enjoyable it will be for you as well as the audience:
- Always make it special for the audience – Customise your message.
- Apply your own personality and authenticity – Leverage your identity.
- Transform what your audience believes – Effective persuasion transcends mere dissemination of information.
*Phil Waknell is a leading expert in the art of presenting, and the author of The Business Presentation Revolution.
